Members visit Genesis House

Club members Kelly Poland, Brenda Rowlett and Brenda’s husband Gary participated in the Genesis House Halloween Bash. Students from Langston University came to play games, paint faces and interact with the boys. It was such a treat for our members to see the boys enjoying themselves. We are always looking for ways to help this wonderful group.

Kelly and Brenda love getting hugs.

Old Timer’s Day was FANTASTIC!

A little more than a month ago, town administrator Missy Wilkinson approached our club about taking over the organizing and facilitation of the Old Timer’s Day.  Our newly installed President and Vice President, Blake Swarnes and Scott Meyer respectively rose to the challenge.   The weather cooperated making the day perfect!  Thank you to our sponsors Jones Nutrition, Friends of Jones, Signs Now, Blue and Gold Sausage Co., Jones Veterinary Clinic, Jones Drug, Jones Playscapes, BankFirst and a special thanks to Mill Creek for sponsoring the parade prizes. And MANY thanks to all who manned booths, participated in the parade, entertained on the stage and sponsored the celebration.  The day completely exemplified the meaning of COMMUNITY and the Kiwanis mission of “Changing the World, One COMMUNITY, and One Child at a Time.
